Home to the SPHL Birmingham Bulls

We are home to the SPHL Birmingham Bulls.

The SPHL’s Birmingham Bulls will be back in action as they take the ice in their home opener on Friday, October 20, 2023, as they take on their rivals to the north, the Huntsville Havoc. This is going to be an exciting year for the Bulls, with both coaches Craig Simchuk and Kevin Kerr returning to lead the Birmingham Bulls for the 2023-24 season. The Bull's goal for this season is to bring the SPHL President’s Cup to Pelham.

Last year the Birmingham Bulls were 2nd in the SPHL with a record of 37-16-2-2; just a sliver behind the Peoria Riverman’s league’s best regular-season record and took on the Roanoke Railyard Dawgs in the best-of-five series for the President’s Cup. They fell just short of bringing the cup home in a hard-fought series that left them determined to take it all this season.

With both coaches, along with several major players returning to the ice along with some great new additions, the Bulls are putting together an unstoppable team. "I am extremely excited to be back behind the bench for the Birmingham Bulls says Simchuk. We have a great organization and I am very grateful to be a part of it. We have unfinished business to take care of and this city deserves a championship!"
