MUNICIPAL COURT INFORMATION
Please contact the court office at (205) 620-6407 to inquire about your new court date.
Until further notice, the municipal court lobby is only open to the public Monday through Thursday from 9:00am - 12:00pm and again from 1:00pm - 4:00pm. The lobby is closed on Fridays. Magistrates are still working Monday through Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm and are available by phone during these hours.
The court ENCOURAGES any payments be made through the mail with a cashier’s check or money order. The address is:

Defendants may also drop money orders or cashier’s checks in the drop box located just outside the municipal court lobby.
The money order or cashier’s check should be made payable to Pelham Municipal Court, must be filled out completely, and display the defendant’s name legibly. **No personal checks will be accepted.**
For those defendants who are on a monthly payment plan, a receipt with the next court date will be mailed to the defendant’s address that is on file with the court office. For defendants who are pleading guilty to traffic tickets, receipts will not be mailed unless requested.
If the Judge previously allowed partial payments on your case, the court will be temporarily accepting phone payments. A 3.5% convenience fee will be added to any debit and credit card payment. You may call (205) 620-6407 if you wish to make a phone payment.
Our records clerks are still working, processing reports daily. If you need to obtain a wreck report or an incident offense report, please email , and they will assist you.

On July 29, 2020, Governor Kay Ivey and the Alabama Department of Public Health issued an amended statewide health order to aid in Alabama's efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.
The amended Safer at Home order *mandating that masks are to be worn in public* will be in effect through August 31st.

To further prevent the spread of COVID-19, you are now allowed to renew your license online twice in a 12 year period. Previously, you could renew online once in an eight year period.
The Shelby County License Offices in Pelham and Columbiana are open to serve customers that cannot perform transactions via online services or mail. Modifications
have been made to the Pelham and Columbiana offices to assist in the prevention of further spread of COVID-19 to customers and staff while maintaining the 6 feet of recommended distancing. The Inverness License office remains closed due to the inability to maintain safe social distancing.
